ELEGANT TITLE

THE REIGNS' OF ANCIENT ERAS'

we 'mark' indifference with our teachings

and dream of flowers beneath the breeze

with calloused hands we cup the sunlight

and pray for the reigns we'd hoped to seize

the days from yesteryear fade slowly

upon a blade of grass the 'dew' declines

and fevered kisses turn up missing

upon dark roads dust grows and climbs

a fabled future shows no mercy

fate cannot promise all in haste

so while we wait beside the roadways

we challenge 'hope', so brief, so chaste

if we hold 'truth' up like a banner

we come to stand for friends and foes

for the wider world is like a 'forest'

where amber rays turn leaves aglow

we 'mark' indifference with our teachings

while gazing 'outward' beyond the breach

my scolded sun

emperor of thy snow

aroused by flint and steel

impressions buried deep

smoldering headlines

singed in memories skin

branded images

the beginning

and root

of desire

to reign

raging and uncontained

scorching;

incinerating

BEYOND

THE SILVER LAKES

By Mary Margaret Park Et. al

the sun has come to stake its claim

against the winter snow

its brightness flashed a counter measure

that treads the heavens rows

a burning blade shall be its harvest

all across the land

as workers gaze across the fields

they hold up empty hands

a kinder day doth awaits beyond horizons glen

in days ahead the worlds ascension

unites the fatherland

the bluest flame, its amber seal

hold the promises of old

the chambers now bereft of kings

draw peoples to the fold

a mighty warrior stands to fight

as evils spread in haste

to smite the swords of greed’s assemblage

beyond the silver lakes

Information Bombs

information

tons of it

compression waves

spilling from our computer screens

A-bombs crowding

the mind’s horizon

origins

unknown

time slot stampede

marked and dated

obsolete upon arrival

the relevant

and the arcane

random and

specific

a vast

weigh station

of data

a race for the latest

it’s eclipse
